<span style="line-height: 23.7999992370605px;"><span style="color: #444444;">Enabling Toast Notifications on Windows 8</span></span></h3>
<div style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background: none 0px 0px repeat scroll rgb(255, 255, 255); border: 0px; color: #202020; font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 1.05em; line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 1.6em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
You have a number of options when it comes to enabling or even disabling the Toast Notifications in Windows 8. This feature is very much beneficial; however, at times it can be annoying while you see them popping up time and again. Hence you have some simple ways to enable and disable the same. Once you have disabled it and after some time want to enable it, don’t get disheartened. Unlike the simple ways of disabling, the steps involved for enabling the toast notifications in Windows 8 too are very much simple. Let’s check them step by step.</div>
<div style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background: none 0px 0px repeat scroll rgb(255, 255, 255); border: 0px; color: #202020; font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 1.05em; line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 1.6em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<strong style="background: none 0px 0px repeat scroll transparent; border: 0px; font-size: 14.6999998092651px; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Steps for Enabling Toast Notifications:</strong></div>
<div style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background: none 0px 0px repeat scroll rgb(255, 255, 255); border: 0px; color: #202020; font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 1.05em; line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 1.6em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
The users have the option to receive the toast notifications by simply changing the PC settings found over the OfficeScan client PC. This is the place where you have the option of enabling the toast notifications.</div>
<div style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background: none 0px 0px repeat scroll rgb(255, 255, 255); border: 0px; color: #202020; font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 1.05em; line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 1.6em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<strong style="background: none 0px 0px repeat scroll transparent; border: 0px; font-size: 14.6999998092651px; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Step 1</strong> – If you are keen to enable the same, the first step you need to do is to move the pointer of your mouse at the right corner of your screen just at the bottom side so that you end up displaying the Charms bar.</div>
<div style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background: none 0px 0px repeat scroll rgb(255, 255, 255); border: 0px; color: #202020; font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 1.05em; line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 1.6em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<strong style="background: none 0px 0px repeat scroll transparent; border: 0px; font-size: 14.6999998092651px; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Step 2</strong> – Once you carry out the first step, it’s time to move to the second, wherein you need to click at Settings and then to – “Change PC Settings” then you will see the PC Settings screen appearing before you.</div>
<div style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background: none 0px 0px repeat scroll rgb(255, 255, 255); border: 0px; color: #202020; font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 1.05em; line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 1.6em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<strong style="background: none 0px 0px repeat scroll transparent; border: 0px; font-size: 14.6999998092651px; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Step 3</strong> – Once you are done with the second step, it’s time to head on to the third step wherein you need to click over the option called “Notifications”. The moment you click over this section, you are supposed to choose the “On button” so that you enable the Toast Notifications in your Windows 8 based computer system.</div>
<div style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background: none 0px 0px repeat scroll rgb(255, 255, 255); border: 0px; color: #202020; font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 1.05em; line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 1.6em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
<strong style="background: none 0px 0px repeat scroll transparent; border: 0px; font-size: 14.6999998092651px; margin: 0px; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">Step 4</strong> – This is the final step, wherein you have to choose on the option of “ON” to the three things. These include the “Show App Notifications”, “Play Notification Sounds” and the “Show Application Notifications” on the Lock Screen. The first one is mandatory while the last two are are optional and the choice to enable them is upto you.</div>
<h4 style="background: none 0px 0px repeat scroll rgb(255, 255, 255); border: 0px; font-family: 'Open Sans', Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; line-height: 23.7999992370605px; margin: 0px 0px 0.9em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline;">
<span style="color: #444444;">Final Word</span></h4>
<div style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background: none 0px 0px repeat scroll rgb(255, 255, 255); border: 0px; color: #202020; font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 1.05em; line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 1.6em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
Microsoft has come up with this feature only in the latest versions of Windows – the Windows 8. However, if you are using operating systems like Windows 7, Windows XP or Windows Vista then make sure you do not have this notification to bug you. In your initial days, you may find a bit difficult doing whole lot of these steps as discussed above, hence it is vital to jot down all these steps in your notepad and start doing it as and when you need them. Doing them several amount of times can enable you to remember the same.</div>
<div style="-webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; background: none 0px 0px repeat scroll rgb(255, 255, 255); border: 0px; color: #202020; font-family: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 1.05em; line-height: 1.7em; margin-bottom: 1.6em; outline: 0px; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; vertical-align: baseline;">
Windows 8 is a new and the most modern kind of operating system and hence different than the previous versions. You need some time to get accustomed to the same before you start using them proficiently. This certainly includes the enabling and disabling of the Toast Notifications.</div>

<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">

<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
In this post I will show you some of the secrets of Advanced Google Search.</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
Google is clearly the best
general-purpose search engine on the Web. But most people don’t use it
to its best advantage or in an advanced way. Do you just plug in a
keyword or two and hope for the best? That may be the quickest way to
search, but with more than 3 billion pages in Google’s index, it’s still
a struggle to pare results to a manageable number. There are some ways
in which advanced Google search can be used to get the desired results.</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
But Google is an remarkably powerful
tool that can ease and enhance your Internet exploration. Advanced
Google search options go beyond simple keywords, the Web, and even its
own programmers. Let’s look at some of the advanced Google
search options.</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444;">
</div>
<h3 style="background-color: black; color: #eeeeee; text-align: justify;">
Syntax Search Tricks</h3>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
Using a special syntax is a way to tell
Google that you want to restrict your searches to certain elements or
characteristics of Web pages. Here are some advanced Google search
operators that can help narrow down your search results.</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
1. <b>Intitle</b>: at the
beginning of a query word or phrase (intitle:”Three Blind Mice”)
restricts your search results to just the titles of Web pages.</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
2. <b>Intext</b>: does the
opposite of intitle:, searching only the body text, ignoring titles,
links, and so forth. Intext: is perfect when what you’re searching for
might commonly appear in URLs. If you’re looking for the term HTML, for
example, and you don’t want to get results such as</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: blue;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
you can enter <b>intext:html</b></div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
3. <b>Link</b>: lets you see which pages are linking to your Web page or to another page you’re interested in. For example, try typing in</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
4. <b>site</b>: (which
restricts results to top-level domains) with intitle: to find certain
types of pages. For example, get scholarly pages about Mark Twain by
searching for intitle:”Mark Twain”site:edu. Experiment with mixing
various elements; you’ll develop several strategies for finding the
stuff you want more effectively. The site: command is very helpful as an
alternative to the mediocre search engines built into many sites.</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444;">
</div>
<h3 style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #eeeeee;">Swiss Army Google</span></h3>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
Google has a number of services that can
help you accomplish tasks you may never have thought to use Google for.
For example, the new calculator feature (<a href="http://www.google.com/help/features.html#calculator" target="_blank">Google Calculator</a>)
lets you do both math and a variety of conversions from the search box.
For extra fun, try the query “Answer to life the universe and
everything.”</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
Suppose you want to contact someone and
don’t have his phone number handy. Google can help you with that, too.
Just enter a name, city, and state. (The city is optional, but you must
enter a state.) If a phone number matches the listing, you’ll see it at
the top of the search results along with a map link to the address. If
you’d rather restrict your results, use rphonebook: for residential
listings or bphonebook: for business listings. If you’d rather use a
search form for business phone listings, try Yellow Search</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
(<a href="http://www.buzztoolbox.com/google/yellowsearch.shtml" target="_blank">www.buzztoolbox.com/google/yellowsearch.shtml</a>).</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
Let Google help you figure out whether
you’ve got the right spelling—and the right word—for your search. Enter a
misspelled word or phrase into the query box (try “thre blund mise”)
and Google may suggest a proper spelling. This doesn’t always succeed;
it works best when the word you’re searching for can be found in a
dictionary. Once you search for a properly spelled word, look at the
results page, which repeats your query. (If you’re searching for “three
blind mice,” underneath the search window will appear a statement such
as Searched the web for “three blind mice.”) You’ll discover that you
can click on each word in your search phrase and get a definition from a
dictionary.</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444;">
</div>
<h3 style="background-color: black; color: #444444;">
<span style="color: #eeeeee;">Extended Googling</span></h3>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444;">
</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
Google offers several advanced services that give you a head start in focusing your search. Google Groups (<a href="http://groups.google.com/" target="_blank">Google Groups</a>)
indexes literally millions of messages from decades of discussion on
Usenet. Google even helps you with your shopping via two tools:</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
Froogle CODE (<a href="http://froogle.google.com/" target="_blank">FroogleCODE</a>),</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
which indexes products from online stores, and Google CatalogsCODE(<a href="http://catalogs.google.com/" target="_blank">Google Catlogs</a>),</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
which features products from more 6,000
paper catalogs in a searchable index. And this only scratches the
surface. You can get a complete list of Google’s tools and services at <a href="http://www.google.com/options/index.html" target="_blank">www.google.com/options/index.html</a></div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
You’re probably used to using Google in your browser. But have you ever thought of using Google outside your browser?</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
<b>Google Alert</b></div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444;">
<a href="http://www.googlealert.com/" target="_blank">http://www.googlealert.com</a></div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
monitors your search terms and e-mails
you information about new additions to Google’s Web index. (Google Alert
is not affiliated with Google; it uses Google’s Web services API to
perform its searches.) If you’re more interested in news stories than
general Web content, check out the beta version of Google News Alerts</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://www.google.com/newsalerts" target="_blank">www.google.com/newsalerts</a></div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
This advanced Google service (which is
affiliated with Google) will monitor up to 50 news queries per e-mail
address and send you information about news stories that match your
query. (Hint: Use the <b>intitle:</b> and <b>source:</b> syntax elements with Google News to limit the number of alerts you get.)</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
<b>Google on the telephone?</b> Yup. This service is brought to you by the folks at Google Labs</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://labs.google.com/" target="_blank">Google Labs</a></div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
a place for experimental Google ideas
and features (which may come and go, so what’s there at this writing
might not be there when you decide to check it out).</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
With Google Voice Search (<a href="http://labs1.google.com/gvs.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Google Voice Search</a>),
you dial the Voice Search phone number, speak your keywords, and then
click on the indicated link. Every time you say a new search term, the
results page will refresh with your new query (you must have JavaScript
enabled for this to work). Remember, this service is still in an
experimental phase, so don’t expect 100 percent success.</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #444444; text-align: justify;">
In 2002, Google released the Google API
(application programming interface), a way for programmers to access
Google’s search engine results without violating the Google Terms of
Service. A lot of people have created useful (and occasionally
not-so-useful but interesting) applications not available from Google
itself, such as Google Alert. For many applications, you’ll need an API
key, which is available free from CODE <a href="http://www.google.com/apis" target="_blank">www.google.com/apis</a></div>

<div style="background-color: black; color: #666666;">
YouTube is undoubtedly the most
preferred website to share and watch favorite videos. Most users prefer
to watch the videos online, while a few others like me, would like to
download them so that, they can be saved and retained. Well, if you are
one among those few who would like to download the videos from YouTube,
then here is a way to do that.
</div>
<div style="background-color: black; color: #666666; text-align: justify;">

<div style="color: #666666;">In this post I’ll show you how to hack a Software and run the trial program forever. Most of us are familiar with many softwares that run only for a specified period of time in the trial mode. Once the trial period is expired these softwares stop functioning and demand for a purchase. But there is a way to run the softwares and make them function beyond the trial period. Isn’t this interesting? </div><div style="color: #666666;">Before I tell you how to hack the software and make it run in the trial mode forever, we have to understand the functioning of these softwares. I’ll try to explain this in brief.</div><span style="color: #666666;">When these softwares are installed for the first time, they make an entry into the</span> <b style="color: red;">Windows Registry</b> <span style="color: #666666;">with the details such as </span><b style="color: #351c75;">Installed Date and Time</b>,<span style="color: #666666;"> installed path etc. After installation every time you run the software, it compares the current system date and time with the installed date and time. So, with this it can make out whether the trial period is expired or not.</span><br />
<span style="color: #666666;">So with this being the case, just manually changing the system date to an earlier date will not solve the problem. For this purpose there is a small Tool known as<span style="color: #274e13;"> </span></span><b style="color: #274e13;">RunAsDate.</b><br />
<b style="color: #274e13;">RunAsDate</b><span style="color: #666666;"> is a small utility that allows you to run a program in the date and time that you specify. This utility doesn’t change the current system date, but it only injects the date/time that you specify into the desired application.</span><br />
<span style="color: white;">(Click here to Download).</span> <a href="http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/runasdate.zip" style="color: red;" target="_blank"><b>RunAsDate</b></a><br />
<a href="http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/runasdate.zip" target="_blank"><b></b></a> <b style="color: #274e13;">RunAsDate</b><span style="color: #666666;"> intercepts the kernel API calls that returns the current date and time (GetSystemTime, GetLocalTime, GetSystemTimeAsFileTime), and replaces the current date/time with the date/time that you specify. It works with Windows 2000, XP, 2003 and Vista.</span><br />
<br />
<div style="color: white;"><b>NOTE: FOLLOW THESE TIPS CAREFULLY</b></div> <span style="color: #666666;">You have to follow these tips carefully to successfully hack a software and make it run in it’s trial mode forever.</span><br />
<div style="color: #666666;"><span style="color: #cccccc;">1</span>. Note down the date and time, when you install the software for the first time.</div><div style="color: #666666;"><span style="color: #cccccc;">2</span>. Once the trial period expires, you must always run the software using <span style="color: #274e13;">RunAsDate.</span></div><div style="color: #666666;"><span style="color: #cccccc;">3</span>. After the trial period is expired, do not run the software(program) directly. If you run the software <b>directly</b> even once, this hack may no longer work.</div><div style="color: #666666;"><b><span style="color: #cccccc;">4</span>. It is better and safe to inject the date of the last day in the trial period.</b></div><div style="color: #666666;">For example, if the trial period expires on <b style="color: #bf9000;">sep 30 2010</b>, always inject the date as<span style="color: #bf9000;"> </span><b><span style="color: #bf9000;">sep 29 2010</span> </b>in the <b style="color: #274e13;">RunAsDate.</b> I hope this helps! This is actually possible using the slmgr -rearm command which will extend the grace period from 30 days to 120 days. However in this post I will show you a small trick using which it is possible to use Windows 7 without activation for approximately an year! Here is a way to do that.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
1. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #999999;">Goto “Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories” .</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #38761d;"> Right click on “Command Prompt” and select “Run as Administrator“.</span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #999999;"> If you are not the administrator then you are prompted to enter the password, or else you can proceed to step-2.</span><br />
<br />
2. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #999999;">Now type the following command and hit enter</span><br />
<br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: red;">slmgr -rearm</span><br />
3. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #999999;">You will be prompted to restart the computer. Once restarted the trial period will be once again reset to 30 days. You can use the above command for up to 3 times by which you can extend the trial period to 120 days without activation.</span><br />
<br />
4. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #999999;">Now comes the actual trick by which you can extend the trial period for another 240 days. Open Registry Editor </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #38761d;"><span class="Apple-style-span"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="background-color: black;">(type regedit in “Run” and hit Enter)</span></span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #999999;"> and navigate to the following location</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #783f04;">H_L_M\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform</span><br />
<br />
5.<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #999999;"> </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #38761d;">In right-side pane, change value of SkipRearm to 1.</span><br />
6. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #999999;">Now you will be able to use the slmgr -rearm command for another 8 times so that you can skip activation process for another 240 days. So you will get 120 + 240 = 360 days of free Windows 7 usage.</span><br />
<br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: #b45f06;">120 days using “slmgr -rearm” command before registry edit</span><br />

Well here is a quick and easy way to test your antivirus. The process is called EICAR test which will work on any antivirus and was developed by European Institute of Computer Antivirus Research. This process can be used by people, companies and antivirus programmers to test the proper functioning of the antivirus/antimalware software without having to deal with the real computer virus which can cause damage to the computer. Here is a step-by-step procedure to test your antivirus.</font><br /><br />1. <font color="gray">Open a notepad (New Text Document.TXT) and copy the following code exactly onto it, and save the notepad.</font><br /><br /><b>EICAR Test code</b><br /><font color="red"><b>X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*</font></b><br /><br />2. <font color="gray">Rename the file from New Text Document.TXT to myfile.com</font><br /><br />3. <font color="gray">Now run the antivirus scan on this myfile.com file.</font><br /><br /><font color="orange">If the antivirus is functioning properly on your computer, then it should generate a warning and immediately delete the file upon scanning.
